Ask a QuestionWho can open a trade account?
UK businesses buying for resale or business use, including independent retailers, shops, wholesalers and online marketplace sellers. Genesis Black supplies businesses only and does not sell to individual consumers.
What is the minimum order value?
The minimum order is £2,000. We do not currently charge VAT. Delivery charges, where they apply, are not included in this amount and are added to your order.
How do I apply for a trade account?
Email procurement@genesisblack.co.uk to request our Trade Account Registration Form. Complete your contact and business details, sign the declaration and email the form back to us. We check the details you provide, for example against Companies House records and HMRC VAT number checks.
How long does approval take?
We aim to respond to every registration within 2 working days. Once your account is approved, we confirm your account number by email and share our catalogue and trade pricing.
How do I pay for an order?
We accept payment by bank transfer, or by debit or credit card (including Google Pay and Apple Pay) through a secure payment link that we send with your proforma invoice. Orders are paid in full, in cleared funds, before dispatch, and our bank details and payment link are sent to you once your trade account is approved. We do not offer credit terms.
Do you publish trade prices online?
No. Our full catalogue, product photos and trade pricing are shared directly with businesses once they get in touch, and prices and availability are confirmed with each order.
Which product categories are available now?
Food & Grocery and Beauty & Personal Care are live and open for trade orders. Office & Stationery, Home & Kitchen, Pet Food & Supplies, Garden & Outdoor, and DIY & Tools are in research and development, and you can ask to hear when each one launches.
Where do your products come from?
We buy directly from authentic, vetted suppliers, so every product we supply is genuine and quality-checked before it reaches your shelves.
What if goods arrive damaged, faulty or incorrect?
Report visible damage, shortages or incorrect items within 1 working day of delivery, and hidden faults within 2 working days of discovery and no later than 4 working days after delivery. Send your order number, the batch number where shown, and photographs. Once a claim is approved, we provide a replacement, credit or refund for the affected items.
Do you accept change-of-mind returns?
No. As a business-only supplier, we accept returns only for goods that arrive damaged, faulty or incorrect. Confirmed orders cannot be cancelled or changed without our written agreement.
